UN: 39 Gaza homes destroyed; 3 hurt in Qassam fire on Sderot
Palestinians began trickling back to their homes in the southern Gaza Strip refugee camp of Khan Yunis on Sunday, in the wake of an Israel Defense Forces operation in the area that left 11 Palestinians dead and, according to the United Nations, 39 houses in ruins.

Travel limits on PA candidates lifted

Israel to release 170 Palestinian prisoners
The panel, headed by Sharon, agreed to release 120 Fatah activists and 50 Palestinians arrested in Israel without legal entry permits. The prime minister also spoke Sunday of his "deep friendship" for Mubarak. Sharon's office said the prisoners would be released within days.

UN employees to return to Gaza
The UNRWA decided to pull out its international staff from the Gaza Strip five months ago after they faced difficulties in having a free access to and from Gaza, as well as moving freely inside the area. The Israeli army incursions and roadblocks have prevented them from reaching areas that need humanitarian aids.

Islamic Movement leader, followers end hunger strike
Northern Islamic Movement leader Sheikh Raed Salah and 12 of his followers ended their hunger strike on Sunday after nine days. The five jailed men joined the hunger strike apparently to force an amendment to the indictment against them or at least to allow their release on bail.

Israeli Arab leaders call for refusal to serve in IDF

Military school
it may be better to expose young people to the IDF at a young age, to prepare them properly for service in the army of occupation. Through the officers who will be sent to the schools - although it is to be assumed that these will not be the best of the lot, since those are busy fighting terror and occupying - young people will be exposed to the character of their future commanders.
