In Jayyus, Destruction of Land and Uprooting of Trees Lays the Foundation for a New Settlement on Village Land Isolated by the Wall
The new settlement, “Nofei Zufim” (“North Zufin”), has begun to be constructed by Occupation Forces on the western part of Jayyus’ lands. It lies three kilometers to the north and east of Zufin settlement, which was established on land expropriated from the village in 1993. The Wall has already isolated approximately 8600 dunums of land – some 72% of Jayyus’ lands – in addition to destroying another 550 dunums in its path.

Muhammad Gharghun, a 23-year-old Palestinian, was ripped apart by an Israeli tank shell hours after Ibrahim al-Farra, 19, was killed by a shot to the stomach, medical sources said on Saturday. Palestinians rescued after Gaza tunnel collapse
Witnesses said Palestinians in the town rescued the men, including a militant, by pulling them out of shaft dug under a house that connected to the tunnel. They were greeted by cheers and many Palestinians fired guns into the air in celebration.

Report: Germany to stop accepting all ex-Soviet Jews
But the fact the number of ex-Soviet Jews coming to Germany has in recent years been higher than the number going to Israel had led to a policy rethink, the newspapers said.
