Wall makes Bethlehem a prison; Tourism will also suffer
Already broke, and haemorrhaging a Christian population reduced to desperation by five years of intifada, the birthplace of Christ was sealed off from Jerusalem last week -- just in time for Christmas -- by an 8m wall and huge iron gate resembling a nuclear shelter. The wall and sentry posts are the latest stretch of the controversial 680km barrier that Israel is building through Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.

Theofilos III decries Israeli attitude toward Greek patriarchate
Theofilos says the Israeli government is exercising a type of "blackmail" in making its recognition of him conditional upon validation of real estate deals conducted by Irenios, in which church-owned property was leased for hundreds of years to companies owned by Jews living in East Jerusalem. Aboud Holds Second Demonstration Against the Wall
On Friday the 25th of November the village of Aboud held it's second demonstration in two weeks against the construction of the wall there. Joined by Israeli and international supporters, the village came out in force to show opposition to the construction of the wall on their agricultural land and the destruction and theft that will result from it.

(ILLEGAL) Settlers cut down 200 olive trees near Nablus
The destruction of the trees came a day after after volunteers from the Kibbutz Movement's assignment division, headed by Yoel Marshak, helped the residents of Salem restore olive groves that were destroyed by Elon Moreh (ILLEGAL) settlers a month ago. The Palestinian farmers had not tended the groves since they were destroyed for fear of being attacked by the (JEWISH) settlers.
