Spanish attorney Injured in Bil’in
Attorney Anna Maria, 61, a Spanish peace activist, was injured during the December 16th protest against the Separation Wall and settlements in Bil'in village, near Ramallah. She was pushed off a ridge she had been standing on by an Israeli soldier in the village farm land, and has suffered two fractures in her shoulder.

Entire Region of Norway to boycott Apartheid Israel!

Livni declines to say whether she supports dividing (OCCUPIED) J'lem
Justice Minister Tzipi Livni refused to answer whether she would support relinquishing parts of Jerusalem in the framework of a future settlement with the Palestinians. British UN worker unlawfully shot
Iain Hook, 54, of Felixstowe, Suffolk, was in a UN compound in Jenin when he was shot in November 2002. On Friday, jurors unanimously agreed Mr Hook, who was born in Essex, had been the victim of a "deliberate" killing. Coroner Dr Peter Dean said he was so concerned by the case and the fact 13 UN workers have died in Jenin, he will write to Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Palestinians: IAF strike kills Gaza militant
Khaled Abu Sitta, 25, a senior leader from the Fatah breakaway group Abu el-Reesh Brigades, was killed when a missile hit the car that he was driving near the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, Palestinian security sources said.

According to the Palestinian Election Law, any official of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) must resign from post before running for lawmakers. Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei resigned on Thursday in order to runin the Jan. 25 elections as a candidate of Abbas's ruling Fatah movement.

Landslide victories for Hamas in key cities
The final results will only be published on Sunday, but early results showed Hamas winning 65 percent of the seats on the Nablus city council, compared to only 15 percent for Fatah. In Jenin, early results showed Hamas winning over 50 percent of the vote, and in Al-Bireh, it was also leading Fatah by a wide margin. Only in Ramallah, a joint list comprised of Fatah and several leftist parties appeared to be in the lead.
