Three New Olive Trees Successfully Planted in Bil'in; Palestinian Man Hit by Rubber Coated Bullet
Villagers from Bil'in, supported by international and Israeli activists, succeeded in planting three new olive trees at the construction site of the illegal apartheid wall, close to their village on the West Bank. Soldiers responded to this practical and symbolic gesture with brute force and by shooting tear gas and rubber coated bullets at the non-violent demonstrators.

Book brings together articles by Brazilian intellectuals about Edward Said
Two years after the death of one of the most important Palestinian intellectuals, Edward Said, the Institute of Arab Culture (Icarabe), together with publishing house Casa Amarela, has release book Edward Said: Intellectual Work and Social Critique (in a free translation). The work brings together 17 articles by different Brazilian intellectuals in the areas of sociology, literature and journalism that address the matter of the importance of the Palestinian.

1990: Iraq frees British hostages
