Bil'in Weekly protest; plant olive trees to counter concrete Walls
Bil'in residents, along with international and Israeli peace activists conducted their weekly peaceful protest against the Separation Wall in Bil'in by marching towards a construction site and planting olive treas. Soldiers attacked the protestors and fired rubber-coated bullets and gas bombs at them, five residents, and two Israeli activists were injured.

IOF Attacks UN Official's Car in Bil'in

Soldiers demolish three homes, two shops near Jenin
Kabha added that soldiers instructed him to stop the construction two years ago, and that his lawyer provided the Israeli Authorities with all of the needed documents which proves ownership of the land, and construction license, yet the Israeli authorities decided to level it.

The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime
At 1 A.M. you wake up in horror to the sound of a voice on the loudspeaker calling you to go out into the street immediately. After the soldiers instruct you to return home, suddenly a frightening dog enters your apartment, grabs your child, who is sitting on his bed in shock, bites him hard in his leg and drags him down the 20 steps that lead from the second-floor apartment to the street.

On This Day December 9, 1987: The First Intifada Began
Residents of the Jabalya Refugee Camp, where the workers resided, suspected that the killings were intentional. They demonstrated and burned tires. On December 9, 1987, there were more demonstrations, and three youths were killed by Israeli soldiers. The uprising soon spread to all the Occupied Territories. Demonstrations, strikes, a boycott of Israeli goods, and general unrest lasted from 1987 to 1993.

Breach in the (APARTHEID) wall
Sixty-five members of the As'ad family live on the western side of the separation wall - that is, inside Israel - among the homes of Baka al-Garbiyeh. Yet amazingly, they are residents of the Palestinian village of Nazlat Isa, they do not have Israeli ID cards and they are not permitted to enter Israel. They are allowed to cross the border checkpoint only in order to enter their homes, and when they leave they return to the checkpoint and the West Bank.

Life under siege in a ( ILLEGALY ) divided city
Palestinian and Israeli communities live closer in Hebron - sometimes in the same street - than anywhere in the occupied territories outside Jerusalem. About 500 Jews live in the heart of the city among 130,000 Palestinians. A short walk away is the settlement of Kiryat Arba, home to another 6,000 Israelis and the crucible of support for the Kach organisation, which is banned in Israel as a terrorist group.

Israel threatens "economic siege" on Gaza - TV
It said Defence Minister Shaul Mofaz told Abbas that unless a crackdown on militants begins by Sunday, Israel will redesignate two commercial terminals on the Gaza boundary as border crossings, which could choke off Palestinian trade. Two-thirds of Palestinians living in poverty
In the five years since the start of the Palestinian uprising, unemployment in Gaza and the West Bank has risen from 10 percent to more than 30 percent,according to the report compiled by all the United Nations agencies working in the region. The agencies now say they need $215 million in emergency assistance for the Palestinian population.

Palestinians seek U.S. pressure on Israel to renew talks on Gaza-West Bank bus convoys

Hamas chief abroad says calm with Israel is over
However, in the Gaza Strip a spokesman for the Movement said a decision on extending the calm is related to several conditions. "Pressure should be made on the (Israeli) occupation to compel them to answer these conditions before there are any new talks about extending the calm," Sami Abu Zuhri was quoted as saying by Reuters.

15 year-old Palestinian caught with pipe bombs
A 15 year-old Palestinian teenager was caught at the Hawara checkpoint, south of Nablus, in possession of two pipe bombs. In another incident, a 19-year old Palestinian was caught with a knife at the same checkpoint.

Palestinians sue Dichter in U.S. for millions of dollars
Palestinians filed a civil suit against former Shin Bet security service chief Avi Dichter in a U. S. federal court yesterday, seeking millions of dollars in damages. The plaintiffs are relatives of the 14 civilians who were killed when Israel assassinated senior Hamas operative Salah Shehadeh in July 2002. The suit was filed in the U. S. District Court - Southern District of New York.

A message from Congress to Abbas: It's time to dismantle Hamas
House Resolution 575 will probably pass before the Christmas recess. It states that Hamas and other terrorist groups should not be allowed to participate in the upcoming elections in the Palestinian Authority. It's a lost cause, as the politicians all know. But their intention is to make sure that Abbas understands he has no room to maneuver after the election. Either he deals with Hamas or he faces the American legislature.
