Al Jib Village on the West Bank Holds First Demonstration Against the Apartheid Wall; Aboud and Bil’in Demonstrations Continue
Al Jib, a small village on the West Bank between Bir Nabala and Giv'at Ze'ev settlement, will hold it's first non-violent, anti-wall demonstration tomorrow Friday, December 9th. At 11:00, the villagers and their international and Israeli supporters will gather in front of the Mosque, and walk towards the construction site of the illegal wall. The weekly protests against the illegal Israeli apartheid wall continue in the West Bank villages of Bil’in and Aboud.

Arab enrollment jumps at West Bank (ILLEGAL) settler college

Israeli air strike kills two Palestinians in northern Gaza
The two were killed when Israeli warplanes fired missiles at a house and caused an explosion. Several others were also wounded, they added. The killed ones were believed to belong to the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, an armed offshoot of the ruling Fatah movement led by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

Israel freezes talks on Gaza-West Bank bus link
Under the terms of an Israeli-Palestinian agreement brokered by US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice last month which led to the reopening of the border between Gaza and Egypt, a bus link should have begun operating on December 15. Israel should also allow convoys of trucks to travel between Gaza and the West Bank from January 15 as part of the agreement.

IDF and Palestinians trade heavy fire in Gaza after militant's killing

31 Citizens Arrested in WB
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested 31 citizens in the West Bank (WB) cities of Ramallah, Hebron, Jenin, Bethlehem and Tubas. Local sources told WAFA that Israeli military vehicles thrust into Beit Luqya town, west of Ramallah and launched an all out search campaign into citizens' houses and arrested at least 20 of them, including the Mayor.

IDF soldier stabbed to death near Jerusalem
A Palestinian stabbed to death an Israel Defense Forces soldier at a military checkpoint in the occupied West Bank on Thursday. The soldier was stabbed in the back of his head at the Qalandiyah checkpoint between Jerusalem and the West Bank city of Ramallah.

UN report: Poverty rising in Palestinian areas, despite cease-fire
The UN office, which coordinates between the 12 UN aid agencies and several other non-governmental groups operating in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, said the poverty rate in the Palestinian areas has climbed to 64 percent from 55 percent last year.

PA detains more Islamic Jihad members

Norway in the know about Israeli nuclear plans

Poll: Kadima reaches 41 mandates, Likud up to 16
A new poll published on Thursday showed that Prime Minister Ariel Shaorn's new party Kadima continues to surge, reaching 41 mandates. According to the poll, commissioned by Israel Radio, a Likud headed by MK Binyamin Netnayanu would gain strength and receive 16 Knesset seats. Amir Peretz's Labor, however, would drop to 21 mandates.
