Building of the Apartheid Wall Continues in Budrus, as does the Popular Resistance
The people of Budrus demand resistance against the Zionist plan to “transfer” them, once again, and to steal their lands and homes yet another time. Amidst this plan of expulsion, the people of Budrus refuse to be forced into a big prison which will be isolated from other parts—if not all of Palestine.

But the struggle against South African apartheid proves the battle can be won. The only question is how long it will take, and how much all sides will have to suffer, before Israeli Jews can view Palestinian Christians and Muslims not as demographic threats but as fellow citizens.

U.S. Faces Complex Insurgency in Iraq
In other U.S. wars, the enemy was clear. In Vietnam, a visible leader — Ho Chi Minh — led a single army fighting to unify the country under socialism. But in Iraq, the disorganized insurgency has no single commander, no political wing and no dominant group.
